Another Semester's Upon Us

Wow! Epic update fail! So sorry! *headdesk* Hopefully I'll be better at posting from here on out!

Well, another semester is upon us! And it looks like it's going to be a really interesting and fun one here! I'm only taking three full semester classes, and one short 7 week long class (or so I think it's 7 weeks, anyways, it shorter than the rest). I'm taking Intermediate Algebra, which is on Monday through Thursday from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm, American Sign Language 1, which is on Tuesday and Thursday from 4:15 pm to 6:20 pm, Human Sexuality, which is on Mondays from 6:30 pm to 9:35 pm, and then a Modern Ballroom Dance class which starts on the 10th September, and goes through the 29th October, only on Fridays from 6:00 pm to 8:05 pm. I'm actually really looking forward to this semester! Seems great so far!

My Algebra professor is great, I am getting the material, which is making me quite excited. We'll see how it goes, but I'm in an ILP (Individualized Learning Program) class, so there is a ton of help that I can get if I need it, which I'm definately planning on taking advantage of if I need it. It helps to know that there are people out there available to help me if I need it. My teacher is very into the subject and is very open to answering questions and helping students out which makes her so much easier to approach.

My Human Sexuality class is definately going to be an interesting one. It just meets once a week, for three hours on Monday nights, which is a late one, but at least it's interesting. There are some immature people in there, but here's to hoping that it won't be too bad, and that they'll stop being they way they are? Hey, probably won't work, but helps to think positively right? Haha!

My American Sign Language class is going to definately be fun! I'm loving it so far! My teacher is totally awesome and loves to act things out so we get the meaning of the signs, new signs she's teaching us. It's going to be the hardest class I'm taking this semester, but definately going to be a fun one! Looking forward to it. She told us on the first or second day, that there are days that we'll be learning up to 50+ signs! Totally crazy but really looking fun to seeing where it takes me.

My roommate this semester, and hopefully next semester as well, is one of my friends from High School, and she was actually one of my quad mates from last semester. She's totally awesome and actually makes living here totally awesome! We've got so many random silly jokes between us and we're always finding something to laugh at. It's a total blast and I totally believe that this is going to be a great semester.

Anyways, Nothing really else to report, I'm still in my signing mode, as I just got out of my sign class about 45 minutes ago and we spent the last hour of class in No Talking/Texting Mode where you're not allowed to speak at all. Which is cool, and understandable considering that English and ASL have two different grammatical orders so you can't do both at the same time. It's just not possible. So lots of 'acting' out to get the message across as to what new signs mean.

Hope that y'all are doing well!

Till next time, Nemo
